Faye Simanjuntak
Founder Rumah Faye
Faye Simanjuntak is a 17-year-old Indonesian advocate for human rights. Moved and inspired by the victims of child trafficking she has met, Faye, who was 11 at that time, started her own social-organization named “Rumah Faye.” Their vision is to pursue an Indonesia where every child is free from trafficking, abuse and exploitation. Three years after its establishment, the organization opened its first safehouse, providing shelter for up to 20 girls aged 12 to 18. In 2019, Faye Simanjuntak was listed as one of the “50 Asians to Watch” published by Strait Time Newspaper of Singapore.
