Tahir is a Software development leader with almost 25 years of experience in product R&D across domains like e-commerce, gaming and social media. He is particularly interested in development of large scale distributed applications that serve hundreds of millions of users. Tahir was SVP of Engineering at Tokopedia where he led the company’s technology modernisation and scale-up strategy for over 6 years. Prior to Tokopedia, Tahir held leadership roles at global companies like Flipkart-Walmart, India’s leading e-commerce company, Zynga, the social games pioneer with AAA hits like FarmVille and Words With Friends, and Yahoo, the leading Internet portal in the Web 1.0 era. In his free time, Tahir enjoys motorsport and aviation photography and travels around the world.
